The founding members are nine international agricultural research and development centers. One of the objectives of AIRCA is to combine resources in order to contribute to healthy, sustainable and climate-smart landscapes and promote the achievement of "Goal 1: the eradication of extreme hunger and poverty" of the Millennium Development Goals.
